I’m back from San Diego Comic Con, and I can’t begin to express what a great time I had. Fun panels, terrific company, and so many conversations with all the wonderful people involved with every aspect of comics. Superior Foes of Spider-Man didn’t win the Eisner for Best Humor, but the book that did, Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson, is one of my favorites of the past two decades, so it’s hard to feel too bad about that.

Next show for me is Boston Comic Con, July 31st- August 1st. Table D-418. And I’m taking advance commissions for the show! Details at steve (at) stevelieber (dot) com. I’ll be there with my studio-mate and Underground collaborator Jeff Parker.

Over at Comic-Con’s site, I have a new Dilettante column analyzing Will Eisner’s work.

Superior Foes #9 arrives in stores next week, Wednesday, March 12! And if you haven’t had achance to read the early issues, our first trade paperbabck is available now! Your local store should have a copy, but if that’s not an option, my studio has copies for sale that I’ve signed and done a little quick head-sketch.

I just learned that Alabaster: Wolves is nominated for the  Bram Stoker Award for “Superior Achievement in a Graphic Novel.” Alabaster was published by Dark Horse, written by Caitlin R Kiernan, drawn by me, with color by Rachelle Rosenberg. It’s an impressive slate of nominees, and a real privilege to be listed among such stellar work.

The hardcover collection is available through your local comic shop. You can also order a copy autographed by me from Periscope Studio’s Etsy store.

On February 26th, Cosmic Monkey Comics in Portland, will be hosting me at a signing for the release of the first Superior Foes of Spider-Man trade paperback! I’ll be there from 5 to 7pm, and if you buy the tpb, I’ll do a free quick doodle for you of any member of the Sinister Several.
