At Periscope studio in Portland, storyboards are a big part of what we do. Most of them are under NDA of course, and others wouldn’t make any sense outside of the context for which they were drawn, but you can see some recent work in my storyboard gallery.

I’ve seen copies. Held them in my hand. Even sketched in one that was waiting for the buyer to get it from his pull-box. So you can totally ask for it at your local shop. And if they don’t have it in stock, you can get a (signed! sketched!) copy from Periscope’s Etsy store. I’ll make Parker and Chan sign it, too.

Since the Underground trade paperback is supposed to be shipping this week, I thought now would be a good time to put this piece up:

It’s Wes, working her way up a serious vertical climb. For me, sketching doesn’t get much more enjoyable than this. I could draw that every day.

Between tabling at conventions, sitting in waiting rooms, and hanging out with visiting cartoonist friends, I’ve finally had the chance to finish some pieces for the Periscope Studio Etsy store. This Wednesday, there are two comics release parties in Portland:
From 6-8 pm, Floating World Comics is hosting Graham Annable, celebrating the release of his new Grickle book.

Then, jump on the MAX for a short ride to the Hollywood transit station, because from 8-10 pm, Things from Another World will have Jeff Parker and I will signing our just-released UNDERGROUND trade paperback. Buy a copy and I’ll draw a free sketch in it. More importantly, there will also be free beer and free food. Free sketches. Free beer. Free food. I expect to see all of Portland and half of Gresham.

Issue #5 of Underground- that’s the conclusion, the finale, the last act, the end- comes out this Wednesday!

Comic Book Resources has a five page preview of Underground number four. It’s our most disturbing and uncomfortable issue so far. Honestly, this one had me squirming as I drew it. We should probably ask readers to sign a waiver before taking a look.
